St. Patrick’s Day 5K and Leprechaun Dash for the Gold

Join us as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Village Runner St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run, community walk, and Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold for kids ages 4-9! All participants will receive a St. Patrick’s Day Run t-shirt. There will also be chip timing, age division awards, and cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K.

Cost:

5K Run/Walk (all ages)
$38 per entry by February 13th, 2020
$45 per entry after February 13th, 2020

Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold ( shorter race for kids’ ages 4-9; see distances below)
$30 per entry by February 13th, 2020
$35 per entry after February 13th, 2020

Race Schedule:


The 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:00am.

The Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold heats are separated by age groups and start approximately at the times listed below.
9:30am Ages 8-9 Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:40am Ages 6-7 Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:45am Ages 4-5 Distance: “Dash”

Awards

The 5K awards ceremony will be held at 9:15 a.m. at Rock & Brews.  The restaurant will be offering special pricing for anybody who brings in their race bib number. There will be a raffle as well with Village Runner gift certificates and other items!

Costume Contest

Feeling festive?  We’ll be hosting our annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K costume contest prior to the start of the race at the event stage in the Coffee Cartel parking lot from 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. 

Enter the contest for a chance to win the following:

        • 1st Place – $100 gift certificate to the Village Runner
        • 2nd Place – $75 gift certificate to the Village Runner
        • 3rd Place – $50 gift certificate to the Village Runner

Packet Pickup and Late Registration:

  1. March 14th: Noon to 7pm at the Village Runner in Redondo Beach – Free underground parking available
  2. March 15th (race morning): Beginning at 6:30am on Catalina Ave. near the starting line

Benefits:

Celebrate and give back to our local students. The Redondo Beach St. Patrick’s Day 5K directly benefits the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation and other local schools and running programs. A portion of YOUR registration fee from this race and our 4th of July race goes to these deserving groups each year.
