The Village Runner St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run & Leprechaun Dash for the Gold is returning to Redondo Beach on Saturday, March 14, 2026!
This year’s event is hosted in partnership with
South Bay Children’s Health Center, with proceeds supporting their vital programs for local children and families.
All participants will receive:
- St. Patrick’s Day Run t-shirt
- Finisher’s Medal.
The event also features computerized chip timing, age division awards, and cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K.

Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold (shorter race for kids’ ages 4-9; see distances below)

Packet Pickup and Late Registration:
March 13th: Noon to 6pm at the HT Grill in Redondo Beach (1701 S. Catalina Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277)
March 14th (race morning): Beginning at 6:30am on Catalina Ave. near the starting line
Race Schedule:
The 5K run/walk begins promptly at 8am.
The Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold heats are separated by age groups and start approximately at the times listed below.
9:30am Ages 8-9 Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:35am Ages 6-7 Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:40am Ages 4-5 Distance: “Dash”
Costume Contest
Feeling festive? We’ll be hosting our annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K costume contest prior to the start of the race at the event stage in the Coffee Cartel parking lot from 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Enter the contest for a chance to win the following:
1st Place – $100 Village Runner gift certificate
2nd Place – $75 Village Runner gift certificate
3rd Place – $50 Village Runner gift certificate

Awards for the overall male / female winners of the 5K run are:

The top three finishers in each age division receive race medals.
